The {{e}} and {{10^}} templates are intended to facilitate and make uniform scientific notation numbers. The {{10^}} template works exactly as described below except that it does not generate a multiplication (“×”) symbol.

Basic usage kemmañ

To render Patrom:Xt, instead of writing Patrom:Xt you can write Patrom:Xt:

Delimitation kemmañ

The template uses the delimitation logic of the (tl) template. That is, typing Patrom:Xt will produce a delimited exponent (Patrom:Xt). See #Forcing text display to turn this off.

Text and number recognition kemmañ

By default, the template recognizes both text and numbers. That is, typing Patrom:Xt will produce Patrom:Xt, with the proper minus sign (Patrom:Xt), rather than with a hyphen (Patrom:Xt). However, typing Patrom:Xt will produce Patrom:Xt since Patrom:Xt is not a number. In those cases, you need to write Patrom:Xt to produce the correct Patrom:Xt.

A minus sign also has to be provided for cases like Patrom:Xt (Patrom:Xt).

Explicit plus sign kemmañ

To explicitly display the Patrom:Xt character, write Patrom:Xt which will produce Patrom:Xt.

Forcing text display kemmañ

To force the template to display the input as text, and forgo the automatic delimitation and the recognition of the hyphen as a minus sign, write Patrom:Xt, which will display Patrom:Xt instead of Patrom:Xt. This can also be used as an alternative to explicitly display the plus sign (Patrom:Xt gives Patrom:Xt), but remember that you also lose delimitation if you do it this way.
