Deutsch: Chrom (>99,999 % = 5N+) im Lichtbogenofen horizontal geschmolzen und raffiniert, sowie für den Größenvergleich ein hochreiner (99,96 % = 3N6) 1 cm3 Chrom-Würfel. Zu sehen sind ferner Mikrokristalle des sehr leicht bei der hohen Schmelztemperatur von 1907 °C verdampfenden Chromes, die sich während des Schmelzvorganges wieder abscheiden.
