Das abgebildete mittlere Staatswappen des Herzogtums Sachsen-Altenburg wird bei Wikipedia fälschlicherweise auch als Wappen des Herzogtums Sachsen-Gotha-Altenburg aufgeführt. Das ist nicht korrekt. In dieser Zusammensetzung existiert das Wappen erst seit Mitte 1832. Es gilt nur für das 1826 geschaffene Herzogtum Sachsen-Altenburg!
